Ojai filmfest to present Iran’s ‘The Rotation’

The Ojai Film Festival in the US is to screen Iran’s ‘The Rotation’.

The 2020 edition of the Ojai Film Festival in the US has been scheduled to screen Iranian short animation ‘The Rotation’.

Directed and produced by Hazhir Asadi, the 7-minute animation will be shown at the 21st edition of the US event.

“Two tribes engage in a tug-of-war to possess the sun and moon. Neither side can defeat the other and their conflict wreaks havoc on the Earth’s climate. An eventual ceasefire brings temporary stability and harmony, until unexpected events renew the cycle of conflict and destruction. A film about the futility of war and the folly of human efforts to dominate nature,” the Ojai website wrote on the story of ‘The Rotation’.

The animation has so far gone on screen at a number of global events, including the Animasyros Festival in Greece and the Girona Film Festival in Spain.

This year’s edition of the Ojai Film Festival, which will be held online due to the pandemic, is slated for November 6-15.
